On the 6th Day of Christmas, My Library Gave to Me...
6 Programs for Learning!
The library organizes programs every month for families, youth, teens, and adults. With at least six programs on average each month, there's always something happening at the library! Read on to explore each program area.
Family Programing

The primary goal of family programming is to engage our youngest visitors, aged 0-8, along with their caregivers. Every Wednesday, our Terrific Toddlers, aged 0-3, can enjoy Storytime where they will listen to stories and participate in singing and dancing! Preschool Pals, for ages 3-5, feature a themed story and craft activity. After each Storytime, join us for our Stay & Play program, where children and caregivers can interact and play with special toys. In addition to Storytimes and Stay & Play, we offer a monthly family program. Previous events have included meeting Bluey, a foam slime party, wildlife programs, dance, and a tea party with a t-rex. Upcoming events include a playdough party and a stuffy sleepover party! In addition, we host a weekly family Lego club where we supply the Legos, and you bring the creativity!
**Please note that Storytimes and Lego Clubs take a break in January and August.
Youth Programing

Youth programming is offered for visitors aged 8-12. We encourage young attendees to participate without their caregivers to foster some independence. The Youth Lego Club meets weekly and features a challenge with a prize for the winner. In addition to the Lego Club, a different program is organized each month. Previously, activities have included book clubs, astronomy clubs, painting classes, CSI clubs, Godzilla party, and cookie decorating classes. Upcoming events include a Pokémon Hangout and a K-Pop Demon Hunters Party!

** Please note that Lego Clubs take a break in January and August.
Teen Programing
For our teen guests, aged 12-18, we offer monthly programs. Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons sessions rotate each month, and additional programs such as rock painting, historical walks, tote bag design, and yoga classes are sprinkled in as well. For the upcoming year, a teen paint party and a crime club are already scheduled! Rest assured, the crime club will focus on discussing past crime cases, not on how to carry them out.
Adult Programing

Adult programming offers classes for individuals over 18, with typically three adult programs scheduled each month. In the past, participants have created their own reading journals, explored the library with paranormal investigators, learned swing dancing, and tagged and released monarch butterflies. Upcoming activities include a stress-relieving yoga class, a session on local crime cases with Christine, book bedazzling, and canvas painting to take home. Don't forget to check out Tales from the Archives monthly on our Facebook page and engage in discussions with one of our monthly book clubs! The General Fiction/Non-Fiction and Sci-Fi/Fantasy book clubs alternate monthly for engaging discussions.
