Activity Stations, known as Passive Programing in the library world, are your next free gift from your Vespasian Warner Library! These stations are scattered throughout the library and provide a fantastic indoor activity for people of all ages on rainy, snowy, or chilly days.

On the 3rd Day of Christmas, My Library Gave to Me...

3 Activity Stations!

Activity stations are offered throughout the building and include something for all ages.

On the children's floor, our youngest visitors can participate in two different scavenger hunts and earn a prize! The first scavenger hunt involves a riddle sheet that visitors can complete by locating pictures scattered throughout the floor, using letters and numbers to solve the riddle. The second scavenger hunt sends visitors on a quest to find special items hidden around the children's floor. Previous hunts have featured searches for mermaids, balloons, bumblebees, Dog Man, and a few monsters! While on the Children's Floor, young visitors can also add their own special touch to the bulletin board. The board's theme changes monthly, and staff provide a special item to color or draw for decoration!

On the library's main floor, visitors can help in assemble the community puzzle found in the Audio/Visual Room. Once a puzzle is finished, a new one is introduced for continued fun. If you're upset about not completing the puzzle before it's time to go, don't worry—visit the puzzle section and borrow one of our many puzzles to enjoy at home!

In the Teen Lounge, we offer a variety of activities, such as coloring books and creating fun bookmarks. Our activities frequently change, and don't forget to participate in our whiteboard survey. This month, we're curious to know whether you prefer hot cocoa or eggnog.

Before you head out for the day, don't forget to pick up a Grab 'n Go! This little kit contains all of the supplies to complete a project either at one of our tables or take it home to complete there. This handy kit includes everything you need to complete a project, whether you choose to do it at one of our tables or at home. Past kits have offered materials to create a beaded keychain, bird feeder, catapult, candy sushi, mini spa kit, and many other projects. The kits change on the first of each month and are available while supplies last. This month's special kit provides all the materials to craft a festive 2026 New Year's Headband!
