What is a Seed Library?
A seed library is a collection of seeds offered to the community to share, grow, and harvest.
Where can I find the Seed Library?
On the Main Floor of the library near the Young Adult books. The seeds are housed in a card catalog.
What seeds are available?
We have herb, flower, fruit, and vegetable seeds of many varieties.
Does it cost anything to take seeds?
Access to the seed library is completly free! You "checkout" the seeds, plant them, and then harvest the new seeds. We ask that you return some of the new seeds to the back to the library.
The Vespasian Warner Seed Library is sponsored in part by the Friends of the Warner Library.
Can I get seeds during the COVID-19 Stay-at-Home Order?
Yes, during the stay-at-home order and closure of the library building, VWPLD patrons can receive seed packets by mail. Please fill out the form below and select either 5 flower packets, 5 herb packets, five vegetable packets, or a mixture of 10 seed packets. We cannot accommodate specific requests at this time.
Patrons must have a library card in good standing to order seeds. If you need a library card and you live within our district, you can apply for a temporary card here: Temporary cards
