About the Event
Voices and Votes: Democracy in America highlights America's history of civic action & the results of that action. The Library will host this world-class exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution January 3 - February 5, 2022!
Volunteers are needed to serve as guides for the exhibit. Free training is provided & experience is not required. Docents are not expected to be experts! The role of a docent is to encourage visitors to think about the subject matter & invite them to engage with the exhibit. Daytime & evening shifts of three to four hours are available. Unable to attend training? That's ok! Call the Library to make alternate arrangements.
Voices and Votes is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution & Illinois Humanities. Please contact the Library if you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in any Library event.
